Meet the Team

Jackie Moore

Jackie Moore is a registered Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in the field. She completed a four-year Bachelor of Social Work at Massey University, Palmerston North, NZ in the 1980s and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management at Canterbury University, Christchurch, NZ in 2003.

Jackie worked at Richmond Fellowship (now Emerge Aotearoa) from 2001 to 2013, where she held various roles including Service Leader for the Intellectual Disabilities service and Service Manager for the Adult Mental Health Service. She developed the ABE program and team, which established movement as essential in the recovery of a person living with mental distress.

Jackie completed her Master of Business Administration at Canterbury University, Christchurch, NZ in 2012, and since 2019, she has been working as a Social Work Supervisor, Management Supervisor, workshop writer & facilitator, consultant and wellbeing programme developer. Her passion is to develop and support people to develop and support others.

Glenda Prendergast

Glenda has had a lengthy career in mental health and addiction services, in clinical and leadership roles with adult, children and youth services, and intellectual disability services. Her roles have included establishing and developing services, policy and clinical practice. She has provided leadership, management, clinical management and supervision.

Glenda’s work has encompassed working with all associated agencies including Justice, Oranga Tamariki and with AOD and mental health specialist services.

Glenda particularly appreciates providing supervision because of the value supervision has added to her practice. She finds leaving supervision with clarity and ethical and values-based direction incredibly helpful and strives to provide that for those she supervises.
